This ball is very beautiful and unusual. It is glued of modules and it is not difficult to assemble it.

My ball will be tight, like the plastic one or the porcelain one. We haven’t beaten it against the floor, but we didn’t get an impression of something fragile.

My ball is made of these modules (it has the size of no more than two hands).

So, my ball is made of a double paper. I glued the smooth wrapping paper together with usual office paper.

Print templates of modules on office paper at first, glue with the wrapping paper using a good gluing pencil and put it in a thick book to dry. Then everything should be cut and the fold lines should be encircled.

Then you need to bend the figures on three fold lines.

It turns out like this. There is a place for gluing (short and long) on each side of the module. Using the short ones the module is glued, and using the long ones the finished modules are glued together.

Glue this way the two adjacent faces of the module at first, and then the others in a circle.

This way we get the modules which are rounded at the top and triangular at the bottom. The places for gluing are planned, but they do not need to be spread (it was just easier to take a photo).

Now glue two modules together (like you would sew together two pieces of fabric).

So you should glue in a circle five modules.

During gluing of the last seam you will surely get a hole in the center, and the seams nearby may start. Take universal super glue (that one which is squeezed by drops), it would be better, of course, if someone would help you (there is not much help.) You are holding in your hands the entire structure, let somebody drop a drop of glue into the hole in the center and in the open seams. Now hold all five of these modules to the center position and push firmly but gently and hold for several minutes. Then it is better to lay aside the resulting “flower” for a short time, let the glue dry well.

Further glue the remaining modules in the same way, pressing each “flower” firmly but gently.

You should not have too much troubles and holes with the last modules. Anything that can’t be glued together with the sticking pencil should be glued at the last moment with drops of super glue. Do not squeeze the ball too hardly, it’s still paper.

As result you get such a good ball.
